Zelenskyy claims SpaceX's Starlink restrictions are deliberate

by@business

Summary

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated on Saturday that the restrictions on Ukraine’s military use of SpaceX’s Starlink system appear to be deliberate rather than technical issues. This comes in light of the fact that the commercial Starlink service is restricted to civilian or defensive activities, prohibiting its use for offensive military actions. Furthermore, the military version, known as Starshield, is subject to oversight by the U.S. military, with limitations on its speed and usage ultimately decided by the President.
