Socar, TotalEnergies, and XRG approve Caspian Sea gas project

In this development, SOCAR approved and holds equity in the Absheron full field gas project in the Caspian Sea. For this news, TotalEnergies serves as operator and led the final investment decision for the Absheron gas field expansion alongside its partners. Abu Dhabi National Oil Co.: Abu Dhabi National Oil Company is the state-owned energy company of Abu Dhabi in the UAE, overseeing oil and gas operations through its domestic and international arms. Its XRG unit focuses on global gas and infrastructure investments to diversify and expand reach. In this context, Abu Dhabi National Oil Co.’s XRG unit joined the approval for the Caspian Sea natural gas production boost project.
