Rishi Sunak says US-led global order is over amid geopolitical uncertainty

Rishi Sunak: Rishi Sunak is a British politician who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom until 2024 and remains active in public discourse as a commentator and advisor. In recent remarks, he described the breakdown of the US-led global order, characterizing President Trump as a symptom rather than the cause and pointing to rising geopolitical uncertainty. He has also highlighted China's emergence as a peer competitor and the growing autonomy of nations like India in shaping their foreign policies. China's Position: China is increasingly viewed as a strategic competitor to the United States across multiple domains, contributing to evolving global dynamics. Autonomous Actors: Countries such as India and Gulf states are pursuing more independent paths in international affairs rather than consistent alignment with major powers. Global Order Shift: Recent commentary from former UK leaders emphasizes that traditional multilateral frameworks are giving way to a more power-driven international environment.
