Moeve serves as the Spanish counterparty in the planned Iberian downstream combination with Galp Energia, which is currently facing significant hurdles that could prevent completion. Galp Energia: Galp Energia is a Portuguese integrated energy operator with segments spanning upstream hydrocarbon exploration and production, industrial and midstream refining and logistics, commercial fuel and power distribution, and renewables generation. The company maintains refining operations at its Sines facility and a network of service stations across the Iberian Peninsula. It is directly involved as the Portuguese party in the proposed combination of its downstream refining and fuel distribution businesses with Moeve, a transaction now reported to be at risk of collapse.
