Forum targets $255B AI inference market with new edge computing sites

Summary

AI is undergoing a significant transformation as companies focus on deploying AI inference, which is projected to grow from $106 billion in 2025 to nearly $255 billion by 2030. Forum is building infrastructure that facilitates this shift by installing computing power close to users and machines, such as in cars and robots. The initial Phase 0 of this project, fully funded with around 11 MW across sites in Texas and North Carolina, is managed through a partnership with Edge Node AI. With the demand for AI inference expected to surpass training as the primary workload in data centers, this effort aims to address the bottleneck in electricity supply and latency issues associated with real-time AI applications.
